I'm definitely not a hard set republican. And probably one of the most open minded people on here. At the start of this campaign crap, I was for Obama. As the end gets closer, and Obama keeps making himself look like a douche bag its hard to be a follower. I still stand up for him every time I hear people talk about his Muslim ties.
Also, all because I don't like him doesn't mean I will not vote for him in the end. After all, like I said there is not much to choose from.
Oh but some of the reasons for not liking him is I like Semi-automatic weapons, I guess I'm just bitter about the Government.
I like some of his views on health care, but not a big fan of universal health care. Like McCain's better.
Education, Obama actually wins this category! McCain sounds good, until you actually see how he has voted for certain things.

Has this got me on a political tangent? I think so!
***More Toxic views on Obama***
His relationship with Rev Right(rev wrong for some), everybody is trashing him for not disassociating himself with Right. In my opinion, I respect Obama a lot for this. Is it a stupid move? Yes. For his campaign he should have said he disagrees with him and been done with him. But it shows a lot about Obama as a character. He isn't going to ditch a good friend for a chance at being the President.
Same view on the Bill Ayers situation.
For the love of God, just let the man eat his waffle!

I wasn't attacking you personally I was just pointing out the hilarity behind most peoples' thought patterns. I don't think it's a stretch to say that 80% of the people that dislike Obama know very little about him or his ideals. They are the type of people that still support W despite the repeated mistakes he's made. Want him for a third term HA! The people that don't support a candidate but rather a party... blindly I might add.
I just literaly "lol" when I hear someone talk about his ties to the Islam faith and, whether they choose to come out and say it or not, believe he's an "inside terrorist". My grandparents made me laugh when they said something about Obama being an Islam name and how "they're" going to take over America. I guess they come from a different generation though...
Either way, I probably shouldn't even use that sig since I, and I think everyone else, decided to cease and desist on any political talk.

In my perfect view, two things happen. A)McCain wins, picks a good VP. Honestly, I liked about all the other repubs over Macdaddy. And he pulls a Harrison. Two: Repeat for democrats.

Obama disassociated with Rev. Wright today after he didn't take back any of the things he said. As for McCain, I am not sure I can trust the guy, he is running on integrity but he changes his views just so he can win the election. Example of this would be him going from semi-amnesty to get rid of the illegals just so the left would vote for him more. Hilary says she will nuke Iran if they give her a reason and that is taking things in the wrong direction. I am also 18 and if McCain gets in I am guessing he will look good and hard at the Draft because he wants to stay in Iraq till we win. And all insurrgencies are based off the idea of not for the insurgents to win but for the other guy to give up, so in other words we will have a group of knuckleheads saying they won't give up till we get out and we will have a president that won't leave till we win, talk about never ending. Obama seems like the best choice to me and while he may come off as an elitist I don't think you can do any better in McCain or Hillary and he will actually do the nation the best good. His foreign policy also makes the most sense to me because we have a president who refuses to compromise with unfriendly nations and just refuses to talk to them. If Obama can open negotiations with places like Iran and Venezuela they might start shipping more oil our way and gas might go down. Anyway this is just coming from a teen that is trying to pay attention to the election as close as possible but I might also be more biased because I am considered to be in ones of the voter blocks that overall favors Obama. So take my information as you will.

So you admit you are biased? Also, did he disassociate because he didn't take back what he said, or because that is what they planned to do it all along? You know, since Rev wright said that is what they would have to do. One thing I can't stand about Obama is he claims he is just like one of us. He isn't like Hilary or McCain who grew up privileged. Yet he grew up going to private schools and going to Harvard. Just like all of us. (I hate it when anybody does this, not just Obama) Just for everyones information, I have plenty of hate built up for the rest of the candidates. I just unleash my Obama hate here because you all like him. You know, Devils Advocate?

lol atleast i can admit it, but hilary is trying to be just like one of us too. This week in Indiana she went to someones home to do interviews cause she was just like the rest of us folks. And while I might be biased towards him I do pay attention and he has his faults, example would be his lil blue collar people cling to guns and religion which is a pretty skewed statement and one of those things you can't fix cause he probably meant the first thing he said. But hilary has her claim that she was heroic trying to avoid sniper fire in bosnia and McCain says he has the most integrity any politician has ever had yet he quicly changes his stance on immigration to suit a majority of the republican voting block. I could go on for all the candidates don't think just because i am biased doesn't mean i can't weigh the strengths and weaknesses of each candidate.

Some of the things with Obama is just the little things. Like, why will he just not wear the freaking Flag lapel?

Lets do it. But srsly, I just don't understand why he wouldn't do it. Is that the big change he keeps promising? The president not wearing a flag lapel?
