Mortal Kombat!!!!
EDIT: WHO, bio is actually right about MGS being un-facking-believable. I love every MGS game I've played... which is all of them. Resident Evil is another awesome series of games and I can't wait for 5, if they ever stop the delays and just release the damn thing.
Not much into racing games to be honest. My favorite racing game is Mario Kart for 64. Talk about the ultimate party game. I get off every time I shoot a red homing shell, spinning out the guy ahead of me. No greater feeling.
Not really into war games either. I don't really enjoy structured gameplay I guess and squad based is terrible in my mind. Never enjoyed Tom Clancy games because you have to control everything and my mind is too frantic to be confined. I just wanna shoot things. That's why I love Mortal Kombat, Soul Caliber, Street Fighter, TEKKEN!!!, etc. I just wanna kick arse. Plus I've always been superb at them.
As far as the Final Fantasy series goes I've only played 2 I think and neither all the way through. The stories behind the games are amazing but I really can't find it in me to dedicate 70+ hours to a video game. Especially with such repetitive turn-based gameplay.
To speak truth I mainly just play Halo now until the new Madden comes out Aug. 12th. Actually I might get a jump start and get NCAA '09 this tuesday!!! It sucks because I'm already sure I'll hate the new Madden but I'll shell out $60 anyway.

It has Favre on it, you know it will suck! I may waste the extra 20 and get the collectors edition. I enjoy making my own plays and using them. I am soo much better than the NFL offensive coaches. I would add Gran Tourismo to the list of racing games. Parasite eve... CLOCK TOWER! Everyone of you needs to play this game. It isn't the best, or even good, but it will scare teh crap out of you.

When I played MSG4 I didn't understand a thing, me=console nub, I think Half-life might make a run on MSG4 depending on how well valve raps the game up. But I am really looking forward to playing Soul Caliber 4 if my roommate at college has a ps3 or 360

I will agree with echo The MGS Series has a complex story line. With every new game in the series it seems like they are making the 1st person and 3rd person alot better. like in MGS 1 on the Ps1 where you could only go into 1st person and look around and in 3 you can shoot and aim. Ive played only played mgs 4 for a few hours but its great game the ps3 runs it beautifully and the game is awesome in hd

I have a Playstation......a PS....1 ? The original Playstatiojn, but the smaller one, not the big boxy kind.
I got it before I ever did any PC gaming. Did you know that I actually played Delta Force on it beforte I did on a PC? There is a game called "Delta Force: Urban Combat" for it which was by Novalogic and was a pretty good game. It did not have the expansive outdoor environments that DF is known for, most of the fighting was done in buildings and alleyways but it was pretty fun.
One of my favorite weapons was this C4 charge that was packed with razor shrapnel. It was the size of a cigarette pack and you could plant it anywhere. It was great to plant one on the top of a doorframe and detonate it when the enemy ran through.

The MGS series outdo themselves with every new game they brought out. The first two were good yes, but mostly fighting in buildings or a small bit of wooded area. With 3 they truely outdone themselves setting it mainly outdoors with a little bit inside. But with 4 its a mixture of urban and country. And the A.I. also got somewhat smarter, and harder. Seems like they can aim better then before. Gran Tourismo burnt me with 3: A-Spec honestly. I don't know, just something about the gameplay burnt me really. 2 was great... I did not know there was plans for a RE 5..I will have to definity put back some money for when it finally gets released. Only beat 4 about 12 times. Note on Final Fantasy. In Final Fantasy 12(Xll ) they took out the turn based fighting and game it a more RTS style of fighting...Yes there is still a small charge time for attacks, but you are able to run around, hide behind objects and what not while in the middle of a fight. Definitly a plus in my book because I agree, turnbased sucks in ways, but in other ways it is kinda usefull. Most of the time you have time to heal before you are completly killed off...But that takes the fun out of it at the same time. Sport games for me are a turn off. Coop, your refering to the actuall PS1. Released shortly after the premier of PS2. Why, I dont know? But correct me if I am wrong, but its about a inch thick, 7 inches wide, and 5 inches deep, right? I was forced to get one of them because my orginial PS fried and at the time I was still playing FF7&8. I still have it laying around somewhere..Need to drag it out and beat them two games finally..Isn't it kind of odd that when I new platform comes out and you get it, you kind of just kick your old systems to the dust and eventually stop playing them, even if one of your favorite games is on that system...When the PS came out, I kicked the 64 to the dirt, even though I am a big fan of the Zelda series...Laugh it up, go ahead, but fun. Started playing it on the orginial Nintindo...But then when PS2 came out, kicked PS1 to dirt, and same with PS3....Oh well...I had no choice to kick the gamecube, cause it fried... Never got to beat Zelda:Twilight Princess....Anyway... And I have actually seen the Delta Force you are refering to. I remember when Hastings carried it, but I never got around to buying it, or playing it. Oh and Echo, if you like Gran Tourismo, you might like Tourist Trophey. Produced by the same people, but its with street bikes instead. Interesting twist, you have to win them by racing whatever bike you want versuses the same thing ( Or something the same size...Computer decides I reckon..)

Well yes. That is if we weren't already best friends!
Yeah played Tourist Trophy and I enjoy it as much as any other racing game. I just like my games to have variety while not trying my patience. That's funny that I say that because Madden fulfills neither of those stipulations. It's pretty much the same thing over and over and it pisses me off to no end.

That is why I don't do sport games. Same thing over and over really. You take the ball and try to make a goal..Just doesn't tickle my fancy. The only sport game I will play though, is Tony Hawk games.

If you buy the special editon of madden you can use guns and chainsaws and stuff. Thats what a guy at gamestop told me. It sounds legit.

Guys that work at Gamestop are always really cool. After they get off work they invite you over to their mom's house (where they live in the basement, or, as they call it, "The Man Cave") for brownies and gaming. This may seem pretty normal until you realize that the guy is 45 years old.........
Anyway, you were right Who, it's the small Playstation. My nephew had (still has) the big styled one. That Delta Force game is actually what caused me to get DF2 when I spotted it at the store after I got a PC.
Anyone ever play an Atari? I did when I was a kid, like under 10 years old. One of my brothers had a standard Atari, and the other one had the advanced one, Atari 2000 I think. I don't really remember what was more advanced about it, maybe different controllers. That was the stuff back then. There were even some "X-rated" games for it. Google it. Not sure how X rated big colored 2-D blocks can be, lol.
Melissa played Atari too as a little kid, and a couple of Christmases ago I got her a game as a stocking stuffer. It's just a "joystick" that you plug into the A/V slot of your T.V. and it has 4 Atari games on it. What was once a big box with different cartridges for each game can now be contained in a small joystick. Look how far gaming has come.

Lol. Atari..Wow. I haven't even heard of that system in a very long time. Mine is packed away in the attic, or in storage somewhere, but I still have it.
You do know that a few years back they remade the Nintindo, don't you? Not sure all the specs about it, but from what I gathered it was just newer, but still played all the old games just the same.
