I wouldn't necessarily say they are supporting cheating. It may have been a question before, or they may not want that thread to turn into a "cheat bashing" thread where no one really talks about what you asked. People could start throwing accusations around and it can get off-topic very quickly.
I don't know for sure, that is just my as.sumption. It would be a very handy program, I don't know how you would program it though. You would almost have to write a program to detect all currently running programs on the other players' PC's, then compare that to a list of cheat programs or something along those lines... not sure if that is even possible. Well, it probably is, but I don't know if there is anyone that is still interested enough in DF2 to actually take the time to write the program, test it, and then deal with all the people who find problems with it. That could be more accurate :-\

.:† Spy says: its not possable because you A. have to program a tool to watch there process on there pc. It would have to download onto there pc like cb. an act as a trojan horse so ppl wouldnt download it. or you can make one that reads the hex numbers in there game but thats the same idea as the other prog .:† Spy says: u just need to watch ppl thats all Jonathon † Zeus-DK1- says: do u know anything about a cheat detector device already in the df2 cb fav? .:† Spy says: no Jonathon † Zeus-DK1- says: k .:† Spy says: no such thing because it would be a trojan Jonathon † Zeus-DK1- says: k .:† Spy says: yep Jonathon † Zeus-DK1- says: alright, well talk to ya later, peace and thanks

Ok, time for my two cents..... First of all I removed the MSN contact for that guy because I know who he is and he himself is a cheater and maker of trainers, and I see he is also on the squad Bio was formerly on. He makes "mods"? Mmmm Hmmm, I can list a couple for you that he's made You won't find any help for this kind of thing at DF Barracks. I can almost guarantee you that by the way Zeus worded his question and by their response that they assumed he was asking or information to help him make a trainer. They are extremely paranoid over there. The admins of that forum as a whole did not make DF Faves/CB, it was created by Deadbolt and Deadlock, and they have announced that they will no longer update or support CB, but one of them does still answer questions about it there. Most of his answers consist of "Check the FAQ!" CB as a whole is washed up and useless now. As many of you already know, there is an Anti-CB trainer out now that you can use and still have CB installed and show up on the CB list. Even before it's release, there were a few things out that allowed people to cheat with it. Couple that with the use of things like tree skins and CB means nothing now, that's why I've never though much of it, and why I've never cared if it was required for a match or not. For those who may not know, CB doesn't keep people with trainers on their PC out of a server. When you install the CB files they "scan" your PC for game hacks, trainers, modded DF2 files, whatever you want to call them. If it detects these, it won't allow you to open and play DF2. When you try to open DF2 you will get an error message saying modified game files have been found and the game will crash. If you have your server on to only allow players with CB on to play, then you supposedly can be assured that your server has cheat free players. They have to have CB installed to play in the server, and if they have it installed then they don't have trainers installed or else their game wouldn't even function. The creators of CB used all know trainer/cheat info when they created CB and made it so it ould detect all of those files. The creators of the Anti-CB trainer did research and found what parts of the game could be changed to allow one to cheat, but not be affected by CB being installed. For DF2 questions, you will probably get more information or help at Map Makers Heaven, although they tend to be a bit paranoid about cheating questions as well. However, they are devoted solely to the game of DF2 whereas DF Barracks covers all Novalogic games. Bottom line is CB is now rendered obsolete unless a new program is made, because the current one will not be updated. People are going to cheat regardless, and even though some are sneaky about it, they do eventually slip up and get caught. That's what the ban function is for. On a sidenote, last night I was playing on the host PC and someone named Jon or something like that tried to join but he couldn't, it said the client had been banned from the server. I havent banned and saved a banfile in quite some time, so apparently it's someone who was banned and must have been cheating because his IP was still in the saved ban.txt file in the DF2 folder. Good to see it working.

They need a program like CB but one that knows all the code of the game and checks it so if any one changes or adds to the code it will automatically stop them from playing and it should stop outside programs from accessing the game files. then the only thing you would have to make sure is that the actual anti cheat program it's self is as secure as it can be.
But of course there is always a way around the system so it is impossible to stop all cheating.
